Dart Freak respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Email address (email or Google sign-in)
  • Apple-provided identifier and optional relay email (Sign in with Apple)
  • Display name
  • Profile avatar (if uploaded)

Authentication and account data are handled securely using Supabase.

Gameplay & App Data

To provide core app functionality, we store:

  • Match history and scores
  • Game modes played
  • Player statistics
  • Friends and profile relationships

This data is associated with your account and used only within Dart Freak.

Camera & Photos

If you choose to set a profile photo, Dart Freak requests camera access so you can take a picture. Photos are only used for your profile avatar and are stored with your account. We do not access your photo library or camera for any other purpose.

Voice Chat

During remote (online) matches, Dart Freak offers optional real-time voice chat. If you enable it, we request microphone access and transmit live audio directly between players (peer-to-peer) for the duration of the match. Voice audio is not routed through any third-party server and is not recorded or stored by us or anyone else.

Push Notifications

If you enable notifications, we register your device with Apple Push Notification service and store a device push token associated with your account so we can notify you about friend requests, challenges, and match events. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

Analytics & Diagnostics

We collect limited technical data to improve app quality:

  • App usage events (via Firebase Analytics)
  • Crash reports and diagnostics (via Firebase Crashlytics)
  • Performance data (via Firebase Performance Monitoring)
  • Device type, OS version, and app version

This data is pseudonymous and is not used for advertising or for tracking you across other companies’ apps or websites.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Enable gameplay, social, and voice features
  • Send you relevant notifications
  • Improve app stability and performance
  • Understand which features are used

We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.

3. Third-Party Services

Dart Freak uses the following third-party services:

  • Supabase – authentication and database storage
  • Apple – Sign in with Apple authentication; Apple Push Notification service
  • Google – Google Sign-In authentication
  • Firebase (Google LLC) – analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring
  • Resend – transactional email delivery
  • Vercel – website hosting

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active.

If you delete your account, your account information, profile data, and match history will be permanently deleted from our systems within a reasonable timeframe.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Update or correct your information
  • Delete your account from within the app
  • Request data deletion or export via support

6. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including secure authentication, encrypted connections, and restricted access.

7. Children’s Privacy

Dart Freak is not intended for children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page.

Beta Waitlist Information (Website)

When you sign up for the Dart Freak beta on dartfreak.com, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Timestamp of signup and limited tracking of whether you opened the install link

This data is used to send you a TestFlight invite, to notify the developer of new signups, and to keep a record of beta program participation. It is processed by Resend (for email delivery) and stored in Notion (for our record of beta participants).
